A practical checklist for evaluating the camera view at a bus doorway.
Start with the crossing plane
A stable view of the doorway is more useful than a wide view of the entire cabin. Check whether people crossing in both directions remain visible from approach through exit.
Test difficult crossings
Include passengers moving together, carrying bags, pausing at the door and reversing direction. Compare directional events against a manually reviewed sample.
Document the limits
Record mounting position, lighting, resolution and occlusion conditions. A placement that works at an empty stop may behave differently during peak boarding.
